Bite-Sized Pieces

"Some follow their heart, I follow my stomach..."

Hello there! It's ya girl, Linda! ☺

The thought of starting a blog has always piqued my interest, but I never really followed through with the idea up until now... I know it's been a little overdue but better late than never, am I right?

Most of you may know me from 1 of 2 reasons: we attended the same school at some point or we've become mutuals through Yelp and/or Instagram. Whatever the reason may be, I'm just glad you're here today!

It all started way back in November of 2015... that was when I wrote my VERY FIRST Yelp review (you can find my Yelp reviews here)! I don't remember specifically why or how I discovered Yelp, but it has been one of the best and frequently-used app on my iPhone up to this day.

What I do remember was that I loved (and still do!) taking pictures of food and supporting local businesses within the community. After endless hours of writing countless reviews on Yelp my very first day of discovery, I continued to push out reviews for the rest of that week. It was actually pretty fun and I just wanted to keep doing it!

Along the way, I have acquainted myself with a handful of Yelp-ers like myself. We connected and talked about events, asked for recommendations around town, and so much more! Everyone was super kind, supportive, and encouraged me to keep writing reviews.

Fast forward to July of 2019.. the start of my foodie Instagram! Like most foodies, my camera roll on my iPhone is 80% food pics in many different angles, lightings, and details. I spent countless hours restarting my Instagram feed and transitioning it over from my personal feed to an official foodie page.

Since then, I've been diligently posting a variety of food pics of numerous places around town and have been loving every single moment of it! The endless routine of spending at least 5-10 minutes after getting my food just to shoot countless shots and hoping for the perfect one somewhere in that pile... has been a continuous cycle for the last 5 years. Everyone who goes out to eat with me understands that this is part of the process and that it shouldn't be rushed.. (sorry friends... thanks for being so patient every time!).

Aside from that, I've gotten to meet a lot more mutuals through Instagram and we do meet up for coffee/lunch whenever we get the chance! I have also been presented with opportunities to do collabs and/or partnerships, and it has opened many doors for me to connect with new people and be able to do so much more.

I wanted to start this blog to have a space where my food shots and narrative can come together hand-in-hand because no one really likes lengthy Instagram captions... I hope this can be a space where you can either find a new place to eat, learn something new about me through my posts, and more.

I hope you all will join me on this delicious food journey in finding the best bites wherever you may go!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll talk to you all very soon! :)
